Uh oH, Im stuck in 2nd gear..
So I've been doing some research and looking at different possibilities. From what I've read online, is that I could need to replace my shifter module due to spilled liquids that fried the module... But I'm certain I did not spill any fluids near my shifter... but, my car starts and shifts but once I'm moving, I'm stuck in 2nd (LIMP).... shifts are hard when going into neutral, reverse, and when I go back into drive. My car has been parked since the issue and checked batteries to make sure voltage was good. One thing I do know I messed up on was using push start and accidentally going into drive before my car fully turned over and started ( was in a rush and on the phone). Any ideas on what my issue could be?

I really have no idea what the issue is, but I would disconnect the battery, let it sit for a while, then reconnect it. It doesn't cost anything to try.
Good luck!

If you disconnect battery, you should disconnect auxiliary battery too.
I would try the ECM reset. Copied instructions posted elsewhere:
1. Get in car and close the door.
2. Turn key to position 2 (or press the start button twice) with feet off the pedals, i.e. do NOT start the engine.
3. Floor the gas pedal and keep it down waiting 10 seconds when you will turn the key to position 1 (or press the start button once) still keeping the gas pedal down.
4. After key in position 1 lift you foot from the gas pedal and wait about two minutes. In my car the cluster goes black after about 20 seconds but then pops up again after about two minutes. Anyhow, wait two minutes no matter what happens.
5. Turn key off.
6. Go test drive it.

I'd also try reset. And disconnect all batteries if the reset doesn't work. Sounds like something is tripped. Did the push start error happen right before the problem arose?
