2014+ E250 bluetech auxiliary battery location

2014 MB E250 RWD
My 2014 e250 Bluetec 4dr RWD sedan has its auxiliary battery located in the trunk, under the mat where the DEF fill tank is located, under the removable panel just to the right of the DEF tank. Part # 0009829308. Replacing it resolved my Auxiliary Battery Malfunction error, fixed my Brake/Hold feature, fixed my running daylights and sensor to detect and turn on head and taillights at dusk. All of these features seemed to stop working immediately after the auxiliary battery malfunction appeared. good luck.

Ditto on 2nd cover on right hand of the trunk.
How those batteries operate seems to be constant mystery. First time I heard small battery affects DTRL
I had aux battery warning showing for few days in the morning, yet few minutes later my ECO stops would still activate.
Got new aux battery from FCP with lifetime warranty.
Only wonder what are predictions on FCP life?
