Wind noise drivers door

I’m curious if it’s a common occurrence to have to readjust and/or replace the door weather stripping seals on these cars? In high winds when it’s really cold outside (around freezing) I’m getting a wind noise leak on my drivers door at the top back corner. I can ease it back a little by moving the window down maybe 1mm or so, just enough to take the flex out of the glass pushing against the frame when all the way up. If I take my hand and pull the door closer inward at that corner, it stops. Suggests to me that the seal around the door has lost its form a bit, or the door needs to be adjusted a little. I have these three tiny knicks along the rubber seal on the bottom window on the outside that I think might’ve been made by a slimjim or coat hanger. Thinking maybe someone tried to steal the car or somehow the keys got locked in it (not sure how that could happen though given touch start aspect) via the previous owner. Obviously not bad enough to void the car passing CPO inspection, but strange. I know the car’s first 3 years of life were 100% outside. Surface parking at an apartment complex. And we’ve had some very notable bad winters during that time here in DC.

As you say this happens in cold weather. Rubber shrinks and seals get looser but one thing to check is if your door closes all the way, i.e. is the edge of the door flush with the car body when closed? If not you may be able to adjust the door (lock) catcher to make door close a little bit more.

I have noticed the tiny rubber strip that surrounds the window has a tendency to roll its edge back when the window is moved. This in turn, seems to cause a slight wind noise/whistling at "spirited drive" speeds, but not terribly noticeable otherwise. However, from what I have experienced, this only seems to happen on exceptionally hot days. I haven't noticed it since it got cold out.. I'll have to check the rubber when I get out of the office today..

Thanks all, I fiddled with the door seal on that top corner just to see if it made a difference (kind of pulled it forward towards the car frame. It helped, which tells me it's definitely the cause. Car going to the shop tomorrow to get the wheels fixed finally, and will add this (and 30k B service) to the list. Sounds like it's happened in the past to a few others, so not necessarily a "one off" thing. I've had to replace a few of these on my previous vehicles. Really does make a nice difference to how the door sounds when closing. A bit of a restore of that "thud" feeling instead of "clunk". If they give me grief over the repair, I found the part for $110 and will just do it myself instead (life's too short and it's too easy of a fix to fuss with a dealer).
