Bluetooth streaming
Anyone else have a problem with changing channels or track with the steering wheel controls while bt streaming? Says "function unavailable". It used to function until i got this android nexus. Had a Samsung galaxy prior to this one and was able to change channels without having to use my phone.

The functions supported over bluetooth are highly depending on the phone and the firmware running on the phone. It may work with one phone and not the next. It may work on one firmware revision but not the next. there is no guarantee.

It can also vary by app. Not sure about changing channels - the apps I use for streaming like amazon music only let you skip tracks. Did you try using the forward and back buttons on either side of the volume knob to skip tracks?
Had the same problem with my Iphone 8 Plus and searched online and found this fix...
There are two ways to connect the phone to the car. One (1) is to authorize the phone from the car, meaning that you find the phone via the command system and go through the setup proccess from there. The second (2) is to select “external autherization” in the command system meaning that the car becomes discoverable from the Bluetooth settings page on the phone and is selected from there to begin pairing.
Doing it the (1) way is what caused problems for me. I remebered that back when I was setting up my iPhone 6 this would not allow me to connect at all while with my iPhone X it connects but causes the above mentioned problems. The other method (2) worked right away and bluetooth audio is working without any issues so far.
