Any info/tips on tucking the wires behind the radio? I swear I've been fighting with it for the last 4 hours and couldn't get it done.
I'm installing this on 2014 E63.

You have to push them back and tuck as much as you can while sliding the unit back in place. May stick out a tad bit but push and tighten the screw

I removed the climate control panel right below the radio and got as many wires from the radio behind it as I can, after that, like Heisenberg said above, I tucked as many wires as I can below the radio, particularly the quadlocks as I slid the radio back in. I had to give it a good push in the end, and it stayed in place. Be very careful with the fiber optic cables if you have them.

Thank you guys! I wish OP can edit original post with this post below. It worked like a charm from the first time.

I discovered the solve quite by accident. On a W212 - assuming you have nothing else other than this mod behind the COMAND (I had the ECO Off + VIM mod, that I had to remove) - you need to push the quadlock connector first, straight down the middle, towards the back. Bear with my description here, but if you look in that space, you will see two "butt-cheeks" .... and the quadlock connector needs to go in between first. Then, the rest of the cables need to be tucked sort of in the middle; lower the better. Two other things that helped are - one of the cables is attached to the back of the Comand unit with a black "peg" of some sort. Sliding that "peg" out (so that it is no longer tied to the back of the unit) helped tremendously. And finally, and this is a big one - when you slide the Comand back in, many a times, the locking mechanism (remember the two screws at the top of the Comand, that you had to loosen and pull up...so you could slide the Comand out?) ....slips back down. Meaning - you cant slide the unit back in. Use a screwdriver and lift those up a bit.... and voila! Hope this helps, my friend.... I could deal with the bloody knuckles, and the time ....but angry wife? Especially when she thought I'm just "monkeying around in the car on some nonsense".... ? I'm still paying for it. LOL
Picture of "butt cheeks" lol.
Thank you all again, specially deepthought66

Hello all. I installed an android 10.25, square corners on a GLK w204 model 2009. Connected to aux. The iPhone connected via bluetooth with the android unit. Later I installed a Dongle Carlinkit Wireless Apple CarPlay, which I use connected on bluetooth with my phone. Do I have to connect my phone to the android unit and Carlinkit at the same time? If I do this over the CarPlay interface in case of a phone call the android call appears. If I disconnect from the android unit (bluetooth), in order to have sound I have to switch from Command to aux and the radio no longer works. Do you have any suggestions?

Installed mine this week, had a shop do it, good thing because ran into multiple issues, they figured it out. Cost a lot but was worth the headache I guess. Then I figured out the AUX issue and hiss noise issue. Installed wireless carlinkit so Apple CarPlay runs without plugging a wire each time. Was well worth the price!

Hi, mine works, did everything same as you except I connect Bluetooth with dongle, not the android unit.

Well I wouldn’t know if they all work the same, not a pro in car av. But the two carlinkit, wired and wireless, both worked the same, for my iPhone 11 pro with ios13

I had the same struggles with my XR on iOS13. Now I have the iPhone 11 Pro Max where the CarPlay works as a charm with the dongle.

Try disabling the "auto-start" function in the app in the headunit. was a suggestion from the facebook group and definitely improved the performance, less jittery.

And, after all, how is sound really transfered from the Android HU? Via AUX or via the big black square connector?
Is you A Class a PFL ?
Do you have Media Interface in the media list ?
I have both these things above plus I have a NTG 4.7
I managed to change the Media Interface to AUX in the Engineering Menu.

Bluetooth OBDII pairing with new (rounded) version

I have the rounded 10.25" screen (I think that's v3) and I'd like to pair it with an OBDLink MX+ bluetooth OBDII dongle. I installed it in my port, but I can't find a pairing list anywhere in the software! I paired it with my phone fine and I paired my phone with the head unit fine (I used my phone's connection) but I can't figure out how to pair this dongle because there's no list to find pairable devices. I have a USB dongle so I can do bluetooth carplay and I got that to work because it had an APK app to install the dongle, but I can't readily find something like that for this. Anyone been able to successfully pair an OBDII dongle?

These Chinese units are very restrictive as to what devices they will allow to pair over bluetooth. The list on the system of what they block is massive (well more what they allow is small). Without rooting and changing these config files you are restricted, which is very frustrating.

You can install bluetooth pairing apps and they will see the device, but will not be able to pair to them unless it is an approved name / BT ID.

Did you go into the hidden menu and activated the OBD Program? Because you need that to be able to pair an OBD bluetooth device

Did you buy that from Chris? Mine doesn't have the amg logo or obd option. What hidden menu is it under?
