Verdict on wagons?

Long term durability, what's been the verdict on the W212 chassis, particularly the wagon?

Just looking for something that's a daily, with the odd spirited jaunt in the mountains/autox ( I know, its a heavy pig for it, but I've done it in a Crown Vic, so why not )

Get E250 Bluetec and you'll be smiling each time passing gas station.
Wagons diesels never made it to America in last 20+ years, but those cars have huge trunks and if you find one with folding seats- cargo holding is humongous.
I still use our MB for small trailer and it works better than firing-up pickup most of the time.

E250 Diesel
right....... the DEF tank would take away the space for the rear facing extra seats..... I'd love it if they somehow got that bluetec version of the wagon to the US
