I had this a couple of times, although not temp dependent, column was replaced under warranty for a creaking issue while turning and the adjustment issue hasn't returned,

I had this problem - I "fixed" it by going into he menu and turning off the easy entry function and then turning it back on.

I have this issue, if I play around with it (use the little dongle and move the wheel up/down a # of times) it will eventually start working again for a few weeks before doing the same thing. Trying to make it break again so I can take it in for them to check it out.
