2010 W212 550 4matic.

replaced 12v 1.3ah auxiliary battery under dash and found 5a blade fuse on floor after reinstall. I still have the error message "auxiliary battery malfunction" I believe this fuse was on the bracket holding the battery.

If you look at the back side of the bracket, you will see where the fuse goes. Look at the last 2 photos at the bottom of this post here and you can see where the fuse fits in. Interesting that it fell out on you - I would think it would need to be pulled out based on what I saw.

I finally was able to re-crawl under the dash as the weather here in PA, has broken out of the frozen tundra. I not only had continuous Auxiliary Battery Malfunction messages, My Distronic Plus feature was also disabled. Reinstalled 5A fuse and reseated red and black connectors to the new battery. No malfunctions reported now. I'm very happy. Thanks for the help.
