Parts availability in US? Parts from Germany?

I have a 2014 E350 4matic. I hit something in the road two weeks ago and it punctured my gas tank. I am told that a new tank from MB in Germany will not be available until the end of March 2018. The original estimate was 10 days to get it to the US. Does this sound reasonable? Is there no inventory in the US for these kinds of parts? Anyone have experience with this kind of issue? Any thoughts on how this can be expedited? Thanks in advance.

contact Husker. If the parts can be delivered faster, they will get it and communicate with you on regural basis. https://www.mbdirectparts.com/
And no, waiting 3 months for gas tank is not reasonable.
