What sort of phone you are using. I find the issues to be an iPhone issue. I have an old 5s that is laggy and slow. My wife's 6s is too. Had to reboot her phone to get it to work well for a while before it exhibited the same issues. Took an old 6s and reset it and that only requires reboot once a week and is much faster.

 

Upgraded the firmware, but still experienced the same issues. Then had the idea sdvictor mentioned above, and rebooted the iPhone (6s), seems to have done the job. Will test the girlfriends iPhone 7 and see if there is much difference.

But much better after a reboot, thanks sdvictor

i know this thread is wayy old, i got one of these Unichip SmartAuto carplay kits for my AMG C63 back when this started, is and has been amazing. Still blasting around in the C63. Was just wondering if theres any new addons to make it WiFi? Or has someone worked out how you can default the NTG4.5 to start with the SmartAuto device instead of the Command software. Instead of holding the C button to switch over each time i jump in?
