To my knowledge no MB has factory remote start.
MB consider that sacurity feature, when my new Ford truck has it with no problem and I can tell you - coming to vehicle park on 150F parking lot and then starting the AC v/s starting it remotely from 1/4 mile away makes whole World of the difference.
I learn how to grab door handle without getting hand burn, I learn to wear long pants in hot weather so my legs will not get burn touching the seat, I still got burns on my hand touching gear shifter.

Thanks for reply. Winter is just as bad, if not worse, but why debate? Newer Benzes and Volvos have an elaborate cell based subscription system that costs money and is dependent on cell service. This is not progress. Audi still thinks every car lives in a heated or air-conditioned garage.

Very disappointing.

Would real life give simply answers we would NOT need internet forums, would we?
I can understand MB motive of not adding option that might sacrifice security, but in life 99.99% of features are a compromise.
So do you value convenience, or car security more???
I don't buy new MB, so when I buy used one for less than 20% of its original value - security is not high priority, but I fully understand that owners who paid 60 grands for their new drives might have different perspective.
Than I always wonder, why those who spend big money on new vehicle and even more on servicing it at dealer - don't hire a chauffeur?

I don't think security should be an issue. My aftermarket remote start on a 2006 Chevy van works without key in ignition. If you get into car without a key and touch brake or gearshift the engine promptly stops. I assume that if someone wanted to drive off a pre-started benz, absence of a key nearby would stop him.

The state of Colorado passed anti "puffer" laws because of security, safety and anti-pollution concerns, and then amended law to exclude systems that prevented car from being driven without owner present. Yet we still see $50,000.00+ pickup trucks, keys in ignition, idling outside of 7/11s while drivers pick up smokes - on a 70 degree day!
