wondering if any techie here can help out

problem
friend went out for a meal, parked up, came back 3 hours later, no crank !
key turns all lights on but wont turn over

star diagnostics
ecu, ism and ic
all complain cant communicate with transmission

anyone any ideas ?
put new battery on too.

when i went into EIS and checked DAS
the ME said start....YES
but ISM. Said NO !

i renewed the ISM and reprogrammed it with FBS data and activated it all ok but still same problem !!
