Anyone using QuickJacks on W212s?

Anyone using QuickJacks on W212s?

Anyone out here using a QuickJack on our cars? If so, two questions:

1. Which one are you using? They are coming out with an extended version that has a 66" spread. If I just got this model, since I work on a lot of different cars, would the added length be OK, or would it get in the way?

2. How are you mating the QuickJack up to our jack points? Looking through the website it looks to me like their rubber pads wouldn't fit in the jack points. Do you just remove them and put the rubber pads right on the frame? Made a different pad? Maybe they do fit?

Any other thoughts? Is the car stable when it's on the jack? How high up can you get it?

I doubt you will find anyone who has bought a quick jack for their MB. I have seen it used by others with exotics or performance cars with mixed results. Would you climb under a car supported only by the quick jack system? I wouldn’t. It is an expensive, cumbersome, and heavy system. I think jacking to ramps or jack stands is easier and provide free access to the underside of the car as opposed to that system which blocks the entire sides while in use. Hey, that’s my opinion. I don’t believe anyone sells jacking rails for the W212 either to expand the jack points like you can get for lots of performance cars.

As someone who does all the maintenance on w212 E350 4matic and a lexus LS 430 Quickjacks are great, Drive up ramps are a joke after you have used Quickjacks. I've never felt unsafe when using them. Well worth the money!

Thanks, so how do you use them with the jack points on the W212?

I got a pair of the SafeJacks. They aren't great. They don't make any pads that currently fit our jack points. When I want to use them I have to get under the car, remove the rubber jack point and install a pad that I fabricated myself out of square tubing and 1/2" rod. I don't like it, especially because after spending $300 on them, STILL the most time-consuming part of doing any work on the car is getting it up in the air!
