I recently purchased a 2011 e550 4matic with many extras and love it. One day I was looking up videos of similar car upgrades and came across a video on YouTube of a steering wheel and a steering column swap. I am not a fan of the position of the turn signal lever anyway so I thought it would be great to do that swap plus I like the AMG wheel way better. I found the exact same steering wheel shown in the video (as the guy in the video said to make sure to find exactly the same or it wouldn't work) and found the column I wanted and bought them for $1300 total.
I did the swap really easily and after reconnecting the battery nothing worked. No horn, no buttons, no turn signals, no lights, no gears.
Does anyone know if there is something that can be done to make the new steering wheel and column work or do I need to reluctantly sell them?
Thank you in advance for any help
