2013 vs 2014 transmissions
I have a 2014 E350 Sedan and I just drove a friends 2013 E350 Coupe. Are the transmissions different in these 2 cars? I would think that they are both E350's so they would have the exact same transmission, but boy to they drive totally different. I'm speaking of transmission difference. I know obviously a coupe and a sedan are going to drive different, but the transmissions are very different in my opinion.

I am pretty sure the 2010 has 7 G Tronic and 2011-up has 7 G Tronic Plus. So, 2013-2014 should have same transmission. Could be that fluid needs changed in one of them.

My friends 2013 transmission seems very crisp, smooth, precise whereas my 2014 in comparison seems sluggish, jerky, and lagging. I only have 33,000 miles on the 2014. The 2013 that I drove has 37,000 miles.

In that case, might be worth having the dealer reflash it. When I had newer MBs with shifting issues, a reflash sometimes solved the issue.

Older 5G models had procedure for adaptation reset, what was combination of ignition cycling and pedal pushes, what I would believe exist for 7G as well. Did anybody find it?
Coming to comparing the transmissions, I have two of 7G - one from 2008 and one from 2014. Just ordered filters for them and guess what? The filters are different. They have the same exterior shape, but different pegs in the construction, so I assume the filtering media are different.
With MB never take anything for granted. Even the same car models can have variations between the months of production.

I don't think so. I think the reflash is essentially a software update of sorts.
Make sure you use the right fluid. It's different for the 2 transmissions.
