Wired iPod connection
Does our car have a connection for wired Ipod interface? I thought it was just a simple of matter of inserting the USB wire to the glove compartment but nothing comes up on the dash. I tried scrolling on the menu but none of the music sources plays music. Can someone help? How do you play iPod through wired connection?

The USB port in the center console is for charging only. It's not even a very good charger if you have a modern device that can pull more current.
To interface to the COMAND you need a special Mercedes Media Interface to 30-pin or lightning cable. I picked one up off of eBay for not too much money. You have a 2014 it looks like and at least for my 2014 E63 the lightning cable works. For older years the 30-pin cable + 30-pin to lightning connector may be needed.
That being said... I'm not terribly impressed with Apple Music on an iPhone that emulates an iPod interface to the MB COMAND. Sounds great but the head unit starts getting out of sync with what is actually being played if I use hey Siri to play an artist for example.

Yes, you need the MB specific media cable interface through the glovebox port. Sometimes these are missing when buying. Kind of like that second key lots of people don’t get.
