PSA: Don't bother fixing the Comand knob. But if you want I'll give you the part.

There's a 90% chance you'll damage the PCB or break the plastic parts trying to seprate the 2 halves. A complete new knob assembly is only $203.75 form Get Mercedes Parts . However if you feel adventurous I'll mail you the $40 upgrade part from X8R on eBay for free. PM me..

Easiest repair if you use some caution. Dont see a reason to spend so much money.. in fact if you around Nor Cal i can dp it for you hahha

It truly is extremely easy. I repaired mine as well. Reusing and reinforcing the broken original part took longer than the disassembly. There is a good tutorial floating around.

Generous of the OP on the part though!
