Broke my cruise switch

Broke my cruise handle 2014 W212 Part #2129004528
I was cleaning and knee banged the handle, it cracked, moved it and it came off. My question is, it seems to be an easy fix, Mercedes wants 350 for the entire assembly of course no labor, Where can I get a replacement and is it pretty easy to take off.

Does your car have distronic plus or is it just a regular cruise control?

Either way, you need to look on ebay, the marketplace, or a salvage yard for a new stalk. The process to disassemble is not difficult, it will fall apart like legos after you remove the fasteners and unplug the wires. Very rarely do the stalks appear alone, it is usually a complete assembly.

Something must be wrong with part number, or it is part that nobody else is buying
I think your only choice is a dealer and the best discount dealer I know is Husker https://www.mbdirectparts.com/

I just have the regular cruise. I saw a few with the complete assembly for right around 100.00, Costly cleaning job. I was hoping to find the piece only. Do you know if this can be done without removing the steering wheel?

no, you must:

1. disconnect battery
2. Remove airbag
3. remove steering wheel
4. remove stalk column
