1984 Anniversary Datsun 300ZX and MB E2010 Coupe 2010
Low mileage driving
Coupe E 350 2010 Has been driven only on Interstate hiways for 48000 miles, since August 2010 when I bought it new.
Mercedes has performed A and B service as per schedule every year.
Now I'm driving less than 2000 miles per year.
Synthetic oil is good for 4-5 years at this rate.
Should I still do A and B service every year as Mercedes recommends?
The local MB dealer is not honest. They're giving me stories about oil leaks and O ring problems from some side panels on the engine to fix at $600 per shot.
I also drive Datsun 1984 anniversary 300ZX on which I change sythetic oil every 5-6 years (about 5000 miles of driving). It seems to be OK at around 90000 miles.

FWIW, I change the oil on my summer car every other year after about 9K miles. I use amsoil synthetic. OTOH, I change the oil every year on my truck even though I only put 3K miles on it a year. I use synthetic in it also.
Personally, I think 4 years is too long an interval regardless of mileage.
