On my 2010 E350 my fuel door won't close. I stopped to get gas, i pressed on it to open and it did, i got gas and went to shut it and it won't shut. Any ideas?

 

Your doors were locked. If they are unlocked, the fuel door will close. I've done that myself - don't know how??

Or, there is a problem with the relay that locks the fuel door. Or??

 

or there is a kink in the rubber that attached to the gap cap.

 

Thanks you are a genius!!!!!!! I was getting gas and locked my car to go inside to get lottery tickets. Came out and tried to close the fuel door while the car was locked. Just went outside now at work and unlocked the car and guess what the fuel door shut.

Another questions, I live in Baltimore, MD and I purchased off the internet the lighted front star emblem. Anyone know of a place reasonable to have that installed? It seems simple on the internet utube but I don't want to take a chance a short something out.
