Help!
my beloved 2009 w212 e250cdi, is playing around.
Symptoms....loud intake noise under boost, and at load while driving @ 4300rpm-4800rpm - the engine light goes on and car falls into safe mode.
Connect to Delphi diagnostics and fault code that shows up is - P2263 - "Boost pressure regulation, incorrect flow"
items changed so far:
- vacuum pipes
- vacuum pipe connectors
- vacuum valve solenoid
- vacuum valve pressure solenoid
- both turbo pipes
items also checked:
- dpf sensor
- turbo actuators - mine are vacuum operated so I used a vacuum tool to see if they work - they did have pressure on them.
All of the above where done one by one, and the car each time tested. What we noticed is that with each change of the above mentioned list throttle response improved. However take her up to over 4k rpm and it goes back to safe mode and check engine.
When I turn of the ignition and restart the car, the engine light stays on but safe mode is removed - until you hit 4k immediately.
the turbo sound when stationary and WOT is applied is not evident, once moving and under load, the turbo makes what I call an induction "sucking noise" like of some high performance jap car.
anyone been through this?
any more pointers on what we should check/inspect next? Since we are at a loss.
what is the maximum boost pressure that the car should be generating?
Thank you in advance, since we have been fighting this car for 2mths now and it just doesn't want to get fixed.
car has approximately 107k km's.
