M272 motor DI or not?
I have a new to me E350 coupe (2010) can anyone tell me what years the M272 3.5 4 valve DOHC motor had direct injection or just regular port injection? M272 literature says DI was offered sparingly on some model years but which ones?
Yes I know can probably just call my local dealer and give them the VIN to find out... I only had for two days so I haven't even had time to remove engine cover and look for the conventional fuel rail/injectors. It was just easier to ask you guys. Anyone know? Thanks..

Thank You "the new3" for that clarification. That explains why all literature I read referred to CLS and S350 euro models that we don't have here..
I had to buy this car on a whim for my wife, her old E320 finally had the SBC unit fail after 327,000 miles (unbelievable) and I couldn't have her driving my E55 or 500E..
Cheers.
