If not then decide whether or not it is "worth it" or explore alternatives. To me an active TMC with current POI on factory navigation is crucial because I am often in areas where signal is limited so a mobile phone app may not provide me with data but my vehicle can and when it does I would like it to have the most recent and valid information loaded it on to it.
These days I find that Audi has blown away everyone else and BMW is a very close second but all the other Euro Marques are having issues catching up or staying relevant... Especially the British crowd and the Swedish. Next tier down is the Japanese group of vehicles and in dead last is the "Domestic" / American Market Vehicles. Worst.

Is this considered a update for my maps on my 2015 command unit ? I don't subscribe to the mbrace app since basically theres really nothing in provides for my 2015 model ...when I called the dealer I told her I had free 3 yr update and she agreed.. so now I checked my email and found that the update is for mbrace
My service appointment confirmation came to my desktop email (not phone) and it said:
"Other Diagnosis/Repair - NAV UPDATE "
I don't know what mBrace would have to do with the update, unless that is how they've decided to grant you the update since your car is 4-years old. Call your SA to clarify that you are getting the NAV/Update.

Was just in for my service B. Asked them to look for and apply map update if available. They did it no questions asked. Turned out to be very easy.
Visit wasn't perfect but nothing germane to this thread.
Does anyone have add'l screenshots or video of what an updated Comand UI looks like? I have a '14 E550 (W212) and I'm not sure the version number. However, I suspect it's not the newest version. Wanting to understand what the freshest looks like and if it's worth the $185 to upgrade...
Are the 2019 maps only available for 2016 NTG 5.1 models? I asked my SA and the tech who worked on my 2014 NTG 4.7 and they said that their computers only showed that 2018 maps were the most recent.
i bought the update discs off ebay for $20 and it updated without issues. a lot better than $250 off the MB site. mine is 2010 model.
