Advice on damaged seibon hood.

Purchased a CT style Carbon fiber hood made by Seibon. It arrived damaged. Initiated a claim with the seller who contacted seibon. They came back with 150 refund if i keep it. The thing that concerns me the most is the location of the gash is located up front. As you can see from the picture its right where the mounting hardware from the oem hood would be installed. As this is not my Daily driver, installing hood pins was not a option i wanted to pursue. The severity of the crack and location most definitely compromises the structural integrity of the hood. If the location was in another spot i might have took them up on that offer. Id imagine they would HAVE to take it back and send a new one right? I dunno why seibon would even offer me money to keep it...i figured the shipping company would have to pay for a new one. I dont even think 150 would even fix the issue would it? I get that they dont want to pay to get it back and send another one out. But i didnt spend 1000 for a janky hood either....

Pics are irrelevant. A $150 refund to live with a damaged, $1000 hood is insulting. So IMO, you have already answered your question... Send the damaged hood back for replacement.

Good solution. Saves hassle and shipping costs.
