Finally retired my black/gray 2004 W211 with 240,000 miles. Took me through life milestones, even marriage and recent divorce. Lots of memories.
After being reliable for most of the time, during last year things broke down including: temp sensor, leaking radiator, bad engine valve covers, bad trunk/rear light relay... Other things I can’t remember. Lots of noises, and generally the car felt loose and tired on the road.
So picked up a 2016 W212 black/black sport pkg last week with 28,000 miles. Took it up Angeles Crest to Mt Wilson early this morning. I’m pretty happy with it.
Glad to see konigstiger is still on these boards after all this time!

Thank you! I thought I would try to keep the W211 for another 200k. But who cares now? Lol!
At some point it is not the car that is getting tired, but you getting tired of the car...I know the feeling.
I drove VW TDI For almost 12 years and loved it. Got it back in 2006 and sold it with 106K on the clock after I also got '16 E350 few months ago.
The TDI still had a ton of life left in it, but I just wanted an upgrade
Beautiful new ride! I love these reliability stories and good to see you continuing your MB story. Konigstiger is an amazing help to so many around here.

I’ve been nuts about the Cayman for the last few years. Then I thought I would splurge and get a 2014-2016 Panamera. I love the 2017+ more, but cost is too high. Then I thought seriously about a 2016 A6 3.0t. I was dead set on the A6 for awhile.
Then this E350 Sport came up at the local dealer. I’m really happy I got it. A6 is great, but I’m glad I got the MB.
