Coolant Smell
I have noticed a coolant smell on 2 occasions this afternoon when getting out of my vehicle. This was after normal in town traffic around 5pm. I can't notice any leaks upon popping the hood, but I wonder if this could somehow be normal or if I need to take it to my independent mechanic. Any thoughts...internet research has me worried with head gaskets, etc. Car has 44k miles.

Could just be a small hose leak, but yes a head gasket is also the cause of the Carmel coolant smell. Best to check into it with a good mechanic. It is not normal.
