E350 4matic Question

I've been driving a 2003 E320 RWD for many years and successfully tow a light trailer (under 1,000 pounds) without any issues. The car is a bit long in the tooth and I'm considering a pre-owned 2016 or 2017 E350. Virtually all that are for sale in my area include 4matic. While I know MB does not offer tow packages for sedans and does not recommend after market tow packages, is there any mechanical reason why I can't tow a light trailer with an E350 with 4matic? It's my understanding that other MB models with 4matic tow.

Thanks,

Steve

2014 E550-sold 😩
I can't see any reason why this would be a problem for a light trailer. If you were strapping a big boat to the back, the transmission would be the weak point as it is with many vehicles that people try to tow things with. Blowing out the transmission on vehicles not designed for towing is pretty common.

probably because you wouldn't need to buy a truck right?

Jokes aside, I'll wait for a valid reason
