Silly idea may be?

Get some rest. Beside the fact you would never be able to buy this salvaged car and ship it for $1,000, it is just a bad idea. Storing, disposing, etc is not a working solution.

I think that runt who hit your car has rattled your head more than he did your car.

Interesting out-of-box thinking, but not really practical. Even if you can get the car (valued at $21K?) for just $1000, you will need a dedicated heated/cooled garage to store it... a garage with electricity, lights and plenty of elbow room so you can spend your next 52 weekends taking it to bits so you can part it out, one sale at a time. Extra garage space for items that don't sell, including the trashed rear-end, etc...
Someone will speak up for the wheels, tires, etc, and the Burled Walnut trim -- if not too faded -- but you will get only a fraction of it's new part price if you want to sell it in a timely manner.
Three weeks into your 52 weeks, you will be asking yourself if it was worth it...
