Changing Battery

Changing Battery
I wish to change the main battery on my Mercedes E220 automatic disel. It is a 2013 year model. Since there is already an Auxiliary battery, I dont think there will be any problems with synchronising windows or steering wheel etc. Am I right, and can I go ahead to change the battery myself?

Yes, any battery will work. You can get one with higher CCA, but there aren't too many other ones out there that are much higher. Advance Auto, Autozone or Pep Boys also sell the battery. I think all the warranties are about the same, 3 years. I believe Advance auto may be cheaper with their 25% off code all the time. Pep boys sometimes has a 35% off code during black friday. Check retailmenot.com for all the current codes. Autozone normally only does 20% off. Advance Auto still installs for free, but some stores might not because they don't want to screw up a Mercedes. If they do install it, just watch to see what they disconnect first. They should always do the negative first. and connect it last.

I am grateful for this response.
I can get a battery from Halfords (Stop/Start) for just over a £100.00, but they wouldnt fit because they said it would need synchronising.
However, with an auxilliary battery, that I changed a few months ago, I think the functions would be preserved.
Thanks again.
