Improved Alignment Recommendations
I was recently at Firestone getting their lifetime alignment deal. They recommended I get an alignment camber (Front-Right), and they listed part number K100157 on work receipt. I declined as I wanted to make sure I was not being sold unnecessary services. The service guy told me car does not align 100% on that wheel, and a camber kit would bring into compliance. They wanted $112 for parts and labor.
When I looked up that part number, only Moog came back with with associated number of K100157, which says works with all Mercedes E350 from '06-'14. Now, is this a necessary item and can I do it myself if I bought kit on my own. Any videos would be helpful too, thanks!

In June before I went to Indiana in mine, I took it to the dealership to have it aligned, rotate/balance, and fix a bent rim. He too told me my front passenger side needed some extra work to get it aligned, said the camber was way hot and they actually had to fuss with the strut tower a little to get it back. They put some kind’ve bolt/bracket on it to get back into spec. This was at a MB dealership, so I think it’s legit.

Process has been around since 211 allows for wider range of adjustment, 212 OEM part # 0003331071 I believe Delphi also offers bolt – shop OEM # to pull results inclusive of aftermarket.

Pelican parts has the camber/caster bolt kits (bolt & washers) for $25 ea. (oem MB) or $14 ea (Febi). I bought 4 of the Febi bolt kits to do both lower control arms on each side.

Edit - I wasn't sure about the quality of the Febi hardware, it was returned and I bought the MB bolt kits instead for about $22 each. Installed fine , car drives nice after alignment.

Hi all - can anyone share the WIS on 2014 e550 alignment with airmatic? I am skeptical on some dealerships here in NY. Some charge the flat ~$150 vs a few that charge $350. Wanted to see the right instructions before I commit to a correct alignment.
