10" wide wheels+tires - will they rub?
Looking to get 18inch rims for my 2010 e550 4matic. Specs are 18x8 - 35 offset. Tire size calculator assumes that if I do a 255/40 18, that the width will be 10inches wide. Will that tire size rub? Or should I stick to the usual 245/4018.
Thanks in advance fam

I am reading now, that 245 is the max you can you can run on a 8" width wheel. So scratch that 255 idea. So you're firm on the sidewall roll If I do 245?

yes a 245 40 will be ok just curious why you want such a wide tire on a otherwise not wide wheel if you step up to a 8,5 or a 9 you can use a 245 or 255 but on the 255 youd have to step down to a 35 sidewall possibly
