LED star wiring with LED headlights
Has anyone successfully wired one of these LED stars to a Mercedes with LED headlights, such that the star comes on when the headlights come on?
I took the star to a shop to get installed and they said because the lights use CANbus, they can't wire it to the headlights and it would not be easy to do - sounded like they would have to pull a bunch of stuff, install an on/off switch, etc.
When I suggested they use the fusebox, they said they have the same issue - i.e. CANbus.
I've seen other related threads on mbworld. However, none of the one I saw mention LED headlights or CANbus.
I just want the emblem to come on when the headlights come on. It looked so easy based on the youtube videos I watched.
