No Trunk Open Message
Hey everyone. Looking for some guidance. My 2013 e350 sedan was rear ended by a truck which caused a little over $10k in damages. Trunk lid, taillights, bumper, rear apron, crash bar, latch etc all had to be replaced. All OEM parts were used but the bumper was the only new part. Rest was recycled from different model years.
Here is the problem. When the trunk is open there is no message that is displayed on the dash telling me that the truck is open.. I can literally throw the car in drive and there still would be no message. If I recall correctly before the accident that car used to tell me that the trunk is open but I want to make sure I am not imagining that. Should there be a message displayed? I feel like this could be a safety issue...

Yes, there should be a warning message.
