Intermittent power hatch not opening fully
Had this start happening in the winter and I assumed it was the cold/snow that would cause the motor to stop trying opening from it being too stiff, but now that spring is here its still occurring.
Has anyone seen this issue before? I have an appointment with the dealer to get it fixed under warranty but I'm worried that since its intermittent they wont be replicate it and I'll be out $150.
Tried resetting the stop height and it was never set (no double beep when pressing the STOP button on full open). So that's out..

For what it's worth my wagon does this occasionally as well, but at the halfway point. Putting new struts in helped a lot, but not completely. Curious to hear what others have to say.

Struts are still very good, I tried to lower the hatch to set the stop height and they popped it to the fully open position right away. Glad to hear I'm not alone.

For anyone interested in this, I took it to the dealer where they could not replicate the issue. I showed them the video and they then took it to Mercedes Canada head office. From there they determined that the hatch motor was faulty. Headliner had to be removed to access it. All covered by warranty thankfully.
