Question regarding In2digi DAB+ adaptor and enabling DAB
Hi. I just bought an In2digi DAB+ adaptor and it installed fine on my 2012 W212 Mercedes which has Audio 50 installed. However DAB is not enabled in the engineering menu and the option is greyed out so it wont work. but it is recognised in the MOST system. I did take the car to the Mercedes dealer to program the radio to enable DAB and they said they have done everything they could from their side so I could just install the adaptor and I should be good to go. Being that the option for enabling the DAB-adaptor is greyed out and not enabled I have a felling they missed something. Do you think I'm correct in this situation or is there something I can do to enable this?

Talked to the mercedes dealer on the phone and they say there isn't anything more they can do. They have programmed the radio to accept non original dab systems and that's all they can do.
Any insight? Am I doing something wrong here?

I've installed the In2digi unit by mylself in my W219 using STAR DAS; in fact, the In2digi emulates the MB original DAB tuner so your local dealer should not try to activate a non original DAB device plug but just has to activate the DAB option (as for an OEM upgrade). That's the only mod he has to bring to the car configuration and then it should work directly (as for me). A question : what kind of antenna is connected to your DAB unit ?

Yeah, I figured that's what was needed. I talked to the dealer and they will activate oem dab in a couple of weeks (I live a bit far).

We'll see how it works after I get the radio up and running😊
