2016 Fog Lights
I tried to search the forum before putting this question, didnt find what Im looking for
I got this PO E350 sport package 2 months ago, I just noticed that there are no fog lights, there is a button and it turns on from inside the car but I dont see any fog lights or change on the outside. Am I missing something?
Here is a photo of I where I assume they should be
TIA

Check your owners manual, can't say for sure on your year but on my 2011 the fog light switch activates a portion of the rear (red) driver side tail-light. I believe it's for higher visibility of left rear corner to other vehicles as they pass on the left.
Assuming slower cars in the right lane which these days seems to be a lost art.

2016 E350 Sport
When you are in a heavy fog on the interstate, or a blinding downpour or a snow whiteout -- been in all three -- there's alot to be said for having a brighter light at the back so the semis behind can see you sooner / stop sooner.

2014 E550-sold 😩
Yes, these guys are on it and correct. It originated on the Autobahn where lots of Mercedes hang out. In fog the overtaking car can see you from a greater distance before they blow by you as if you were standing still. It’s a Euro thing.
