Buying & Shipping Advice 2016 CPO E350 Wagon

My 2013 wagon goes out of warranty in a few months, Not having any issues but getting any for a new car and I am very picky about options & color, etc.

I came across a 2016 CPO E350 with low miles equipped with P1, sport, lane tracking package and sunroof but it's at a dealership 2,000 miles away. Original MSRP was $68k and they are asking $53k which seems very high?

I am guessing it would cost about $1,500 to ship?

Never thought about buying a car long distance but I love wagons and they are hard to come by.

Any advice? Any issues on the 2016 wagons? Does the price seem way too high?

Thanks.

My 2016 E350 Sport was $65,545 list, paid $55,545 for it in 04/2016, a flat $10K discount. I'd say they are asking a lot for the car, even if it is a wagon..

Even if the car would have $53k market value, considering additional costs, for just few thousands more you can have brand new MB picked up locally with full warranty. What makes you shopping around for such deals?
I went via similar situation couple years ago, when shopping for dually truck. I was checking used market and trucks with 40k miles would be listed for $50k.
I finally called whole state dealers and found one who offer me $8,000 discount on custom build, so I order new truck precisely the way I like and paid $59k for it.

Considering I just bought a 2016 E350 sport 4Matic with ~30K miles for $24K I'd say that yes they are charging top dollar for this car.

Just wondering why you'd have a car shipped instead of flying out to pick it up and drive it home?

Because we are 2,000 miles away from the dealership which is in a totally different part of the country than anywhere we already have plans to go to this summer. Airfare etc would likely cost as much if not more to get there let alone cost and time of driving back vs shipping. All moot if the vehicle is way overpriced. Thanks.
