It all depends if you have Airmatic or regular spring suspension.

Airmatic you can use lowering links and with regular suspension you have to get lowering springs.

My 2012 E550 4matic w/o Airmatic I bought Vogtland springs which I installed myself. Not something you want to do if you don’t have proper tools.

Hope this helps!

You’re welcome! Lowering links are your best bet then which are relatively easy to install.

Previously someone recommended this module for the Airmatic suspension.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/MERCEDES-BE...E/282861752179

This is the option I'm looking at, I just wonder if it adds extra stress to the Airmatic system.

Also, is that generic gas going into an AGM!? *SCREEEE!!!!!*

I did see ones similar to that one but I don’t know anyone who has used it. I believe RENNtech or one of the tuning companies have a module like that. Not sure if I would recommend one from eBay... just saying.

Understandable. I just know that someone else here used that one from eBay. I have no experience with it is all.

Actually, just did a Google search and found a review for the module... here!
https://mbworld.org/forums/cls-coupe...ng-module.html

It looks like RENNtech does still have their module for sale:
https://www.renntechmercedes.com/ind...ercedes-detail

It's not OBD-2, so it's not nearly as easy to install. It's also almost almost 3x the price. But it allows you to customize the height of each wheel, and it looks like it's more user friendly once it's installed.

It might have been me who you saw recommending the lowering module. I’ve been buying parts from eBay since 2001 and I rarely have any issues. They probably just reversed engineered the more expensive options out there. The module is super easy to use and I’m sure it’s very similar programming compared to the Renntech option. I’m not sure why you would need to manipulate each wheel independently unless your level sensors are not calibrated correctly. I currently have my car lowered about 40mm and still drive with the softness of the comfort setting.
