Pre-Paid Service

I am curious. I took my 2016 E350 to have the third pre-paid service done. The dealer was the original selling dealer and seller of pre-paid service but not one I had previously used for service. The SA wanted to charge me $33 for tire rotation. He explained some vehicles had staggered tires and wheels and therefore rotation was not a part of the service. I told him I had never previously paid for the rotation on this car or any other Mercedes I have or previously had. Does anyone else have the prepaid and were charged additional for rotation?

Read the service contract or call MB-USA. It's supposed to cover all the regular service that's due so if it's due for a transmission flush or spark plug change, they should do it as part of the service even though normally those would cost extra. It's one of the advantages of getting the service packs, the best deal is the pack where the plugs and transmission fluid are due as those are normally extra cost items but are included in the service pack.

Tire rotation is only a recommended service, not a required one. PPM usually only covers required services. Sometimes a selling dealer will also cover wiper blades or tire rotation but that doesn't seem the case with your selling dealer. Maybe go back to the last one for service if they were doing the rotations for free.
