Mods for 2014 E350?
Hi just picked up my new to me 2014 E350 4MATIC, looking to do some mods. but not really sure. I was thinking a trunk spoiler, tint, gloss black roof, platidip the grills silver part and maybe black mirrors? but the black grill, and mirrors don't really make sense with the silver polished wheels. Spent 8 Hours detailing it yesterday (Washed, Fallout Cleaner, Clay Bar, Compound, Polish, and Waxed it) The wheels had some major scuff pad marks and had to require some wet sanding and compounding and polishing.Thoughts? lol, without the logos, it looks like some prototype car

Looks good I have a 2015 in the same color I'm assuming that's Palladium silver but I have the factory spoiler and tint on mines. I had 20" black wheels on it but i went back to the 18" AMG's for ride comfort plus I think it just looks better to me

Honestly, I think it looks pretty damn great after the detailing.
Going much beyond a tint, and maybe a lip spoiler, does not seem balanced with those rims (which I love, BTW). Personally, I'd only "black" anything on the exterior if everything, including the wheels, was blacked out.
But considering how great it looks now and the $$$ for mods, I just don't see it. I'd spend the $$$ on something else.

I remember when Benzes used to be classy, and chrome would signify that. Now that all cars are going the chrome/"chrome" route people are reverting their chrome trim. So strange to me.
Small trunk "spoiler" (AMG style) would look nice. Tint is basically mandatory. Black mirrors, grille, roof... all would look awful (read: cheap) in my opinion. Plenty of cars out there look killer with modifications. An E class isn't one of them.

I agree about the chrome. I can't stand the black look. I came from a time when expensive wheels were bright and shiny. I know, times change. I have a 15 black E350. A little tint, wheels refinished, and it looks great to me. If only I didn't live on a dirt road with a black DD,a black BMW 135i convertible, a black Goldwing....

Agreed with both of the above. The whole black trim / wheel thing used to be for guys with Elantras that could only afford a rattle-can to do "mods", then for some reason it bled up into real cars....maybe those Elantra owners got promoted to Assistant Manager at Jack-In-The-Box? I dunno. And the black roof thing.....don't get that at all, why make the car that much hotter? Designers smarter than us add chrome in specific ways to do things like "lighten" the bulk of the greenhouse and stuff. Leave the chrome. The car looks fantastic with the OEM wheels and trim, you did an amazing job detailing it. Avoid the "I'm gonna make my car look different by doing what everyone else does to it!" urge. Just enjoy it.

Mercedes has some great designers and I think the face-lifted E class was the last great E class design prior to the W213 launch (which I am not a fan). Leave it primarily as is with some subtle personal tweeks. Your car looks fantastic.

You sir, should do whatever you want to do. I'm on the boat of light modifications to make my car a little more mine but some folks prefer that stock look and that's perfectly fine too.
If you''re going with a silver and black theme then so be it, just make sure you like the way it looks after.
JBspeed sells color matched AMG style trunk spoiler, that's where i got mine from. They also offer carbon fiber side mirror covers if that's something you're interested in.
Gloss black roof wrap looks good if done right in my opinion, mimics that pano roof look quite well.
Welcome aboard

I love the wheels LemonSqueezy has on his car. I'm not against all mods, mostly just ones that involve making things black.

First Mod, and Free! The ebay listing said it was plug and play and wasn’t, so they just refunded me. Thinking of getting a blackvue dashcam. but i don’t know if the rear dashcam will hit the sunshade. Any ideas?

I have the 2 channel blackvue where the rear camera is significantly smaller than the front camera. The sunshade does not hit the camera where I have mine installed in the top center.

3 Mods Done
Installed a DR650S-2CH and got 45% Suntek Carbon CXP all around
Any other suggestions? thinking of getting a spoiler. but any suggestions on where to get one. want one that is the same colour as the car. and looks oem. and not too expensive. Also installed a new main battery. pretty expensive.

We all have different tastes for modding, again it comes out of your wallet and your mind sets the limits. Some people hate what I did to mine, but guess what. It’s my money and my car. I love the way it looks and drives. Do whatever you want and enjoy the car, it’s your wallet and time being consumed, nobody else!

Black is not my style, but Silver/Chrome (on silver) might be.

The black rims are nice, but I honestly like the stock look (the first few photos) better. My car has a lot of black (from the factory), so maybe I like what I don't have?
