ABS fault only on highway over 110 kmh

I have had a problem with my abs on my 2010 E550 4 matic over last year, replaced 2 sensors and still had code of left front wheel speed sensor. Switched sensors left to right and it stayed same code at same wheel. replaced the wheel bearing on front left and seemed fine, no abs lights till i went on highway... noticed the speedo jumping a little and then the abs light came on again. I hooked up my scanner and it was coded for same wheel. I watched actual wheel speeds on scanner while driving and the front left wheel speed jumps up and down about 5-20 kmh depending on how fast you are going until eventually the abs light comes on but only at highway speeds. It obviously made a difference changing the wheel bearing as it wouldnt read anything till the new bearing was installed but it was a aftermarket bearing and now thinking the magnet was damaged maybe?? cleaned sensor and checked for debris on bearing and same result.. should i put a original mb wheel bearing back in? or is there something i'm missing?? I have had a couple of codes come up that esp module is defective but think its bearing related

thanks for any insight

Yes, checked pressures too but it’s not a constant speed difference , jumps around between 5-20 kmh. Obviously exaggerated by higher speed which then trips error.

As you say it may be related to the aftermarket wheel bearing you installed. I would start there.

I have not looked at mine but isn't the wheel speed sensor a magnetic sensor that reads "teeth" on the rotating wheel hub? Have you checked these teeth?

Those are called reluctor rings. They have been issue on earlier models, but for last years MB covers the the rings with resins, so they become bulletproof.
Doesn't hurt to check them anyway.
I would trust the scanner and focus on the side it is pointing.

Had issues with the rear reluctor rings last year as well and Mercedes said needed to replace rear axles as they don’t sell just the rings that rust out. Had to order the rings from uk for 15$ each versus axles! Anyway that solved my rear abs issues. The front has magnet( reluctor ring built into the bearing as far as I know. Guess I’ll get an original mb bearing and try that...
