2013 E550 low beam lightbulb clip
Picked up the 2013 E550 4MATIC last month. Last week I got a low beam out warning. Got a pair of halogen bulbs locally and when I was replacing the bulb I noticed it was just hanging there after I took the cap off. Never driven it at night but that evening I tried and its awful dim (both new lights now function). I checked out drivers side and no retaining clip there either. Went to a few stores, no one carries the clips.
Called local MB dealership then visited them as there was s chance I could get the clip cheap from their express lanes (I heard this and also read about it elsewhere on the internet) and was informed they cannot sell the clip alone ($6 on Amazon). However theyd be glad to sell me, I think he said $1,200 for a pair of headlights. I cancelled my appointment that following day for B Schedule as I'd rather fo that myself now that I know what I will be charged to replace a bulb clip.
Having said all that, does anyone here have a link to an online site for the appropriate retainer clip? Saw some on Amazon reviews but just wanted to ask here in hopes someones been through a similar experience. Thank you

Just wanted to follow up on this topic. I had ordered from 2 sources. I now have 4 clips that are useless. Fortunately they were not expensive. I noted that they were missing holes on the clips that the E550 needs.
While I was fiddling around in the engine bay I found the clips nicely sitting on the radiator. After eventually pulling it out and getting a nice slice on the way, they fit the headlight without drama.
Having said all that, is it just me or the headlights on the W212 (~2010-2013) using halogens sitting a bit low? While its not "bad" with the E550 it just seems low and Im using highbeams at night when there are no others around. I can see HID kit coming my way eventually if I am driving at night more.
