360 degree camera control unit location
Morning All,
I could use a little help form anyone who has the 360 degree camera in a W212, actually ideally in an S212 (the w212 Wagon or T Model).
I am based in the UK and realise that it could be "handed" (on the other side) but the W212 (S212) rarely came with the 360 camera specced over here so I am really struggling to get a clear idea of the location and orientation for mounting it.
I am going to be attempting a retrofit. I have all the parts, all the wiring sorted but I just cannot get a clear picture of how and to what the control unit is mounted in the back next to the rear SAM.
A big ask but if anyone has this setup, any chance of a picture please?
A thousand thank you's
A.M.

Hi there and thank you for taking the time - very informative pdfs.
I have all the info and parts I need apart from an actual picture of HOW the main camera control unit (N148) is physically mounted to the body (next to the rear SAM) and what bracket is used.
If anyone can post a picture of that I would appreciate it (the black and white line drawing in WIS isn't sufficient to work it out).
Regards, AM

WOW
Amazingly helpful
I don't suppose that there is a Mercedes retrofit kit or instructions. ASRA has some retrofits, but not one for the surround camera that I could see.
I am wondering what the part numbers for the wiring harnesses would be. My application is for a 2012 E350. I see this is for a 2014

Rear CAN wiring for W253 Nov-2020?
I know this is an old thread, but... I don't have many other options anyway.
I want to retrofit 360º SVS to my GLC W253 from Nov-2020. I have identified all the components involved, can buy them in the used parts market. The only doubt I have is, where is the rear CAN E2 connector? According to this thread there are two points in the 212: X30/26 and CAN E2. What could be the equivalents of those in my W253? Anybody can provide a picture or drawing?
Thanks in advance!
