4 Bent AMG Rims
Hello, I have a 2010 E350 Benz 4matic (W212) that came with 18-inch AMG aluminum alloy rims. I live in Memphis and have hit many potholes this past winter and blown out 2 tires. I was wondering if the wheels will still be strong if I repair them. I feel like they would not keep their strength after a repair. There is a slight vibration when I drive above 60mph. The drive is also not smooth as it once was even at low speeds. I know that AMG tires are not very strong at all but repairs would still be cheaper than 4 new wheels.
I was buying new tires and the mechanic put the wheel and tire on the rotating thing and the wheel was very apparent it was badly bent. Not all of them are bad but have road rashes from my using this car at a young age.
Has anyone had their wheels repaired? If so, how has it lasted? Will it also have the same finish after a repair?

Also, I will not replace them with 17 or 16-inch rims just yet as people have suggested before as I just got brand new tires on my car.

I also had 4 bent rims. I got them straightened out at a specialty shop and my car drives fine now.
However, the wheels were HRE one piece forged and I’m on 19 inch rims with 35/30 sidewall.
i recommend going to a respected guy in your area and trying to straighten them out first. Much cheaper than replacing them, as you said
