180,000 mile update

2014 E250 Update, I’ve owned since new.

If you’ve read my previous posts, you know I have a high mileage commute.

Rolled over 180,000 miles last week.

No new issues to report, just regular oil/filter changes, added some adblue last week.

Still getting 42mpg on the hwy and have averaged 38.6 mpg over the life of the car.

Are you monitoring your DPF regenerations?
ScanGauge has option for that.

What is it and what’s the purpose of monitoring it?

Query: How much have you spent on non-scheduled maintenance on this car. I lease, and turn in my car every three years, and am always curious about buying it off lease.

The main issues with those cars is cutting short DPF regeneration.
That is bad for owners who have short commute.
Having monitoring scanner - you can observe when sot level comes close to 100% and when regeneration starts, plan to do extra loop and not turn engine off, till regenerations ends. Takes less than 10 miles for the process.
This way you keep DPF healthy and avoid $4000 replacement.

I drive about 200 highway miles a day (70mph). I don’t think that’s an issue for me.
