Has Anyone Used the Preferences Programming Feature?
I searched, and this topic has not been discussed yet 
, possibly because (like me) many may not know it exists.
I've often wondered what that "Star" on the console is used for. Thanks to KEY08 in another thread, I've learned it's possible to enter Vehicle settings and program equipment to function on demand, such as the rear view camera.
This is covered on page 35-36 in my Comand Manual, but somehow I thought it pertained only to radio presets, so glanced over it. Apparently you can do a lot more.
Off hand, I can't think of anything to program in my car, so I thought I'd start this thread to get some ideas from you.
Does anyone use this programming feature, and what have you saved (and used) as a favorite(s)?

I've been using it for GPS.
Rear camera is not my priority.
Fact is that the command center is very unfriendly.
Just to switch from SAT radio to FM, I have to find several tabs and remember the sequence.
Programming home destination takes several clicks as well.
My Ford has touch screen and I can "go home" in less than 1 second with 2 touches.
Oh well, MB is not famous becouse of electronics..

CALLED FAVORITE buttons on 2015 as manual and screen a bit different.
you get 2 closed star and open star
I have one to bring on the camera shot (it can then be adjusted to front, rear, sides or top down...
I forget the other as I do not use much of this stuff...
Just listen to music from thumb drive or FM and drive....
Ocassional on long trip will enter final destination.. and that is a PIA as well since it is reverse of how we do addresses in USA.
Country then state then city then street then #... ARGggggggggggggggg ..
Use the camera thingy when parking or tight drive thrus and dot want curb rash.....since getting to it normal way is like 50 clicks...
