E-Class (W212) 2010 - 2016: E 350, E 550

What do those Service Numbers mean?

Exclamation What do those Service Numbers mean?

Hello, just did small service(oil, filters) and want to reset service (didnt get message i did it before) but i see Service numbers like: Service2, service3,service 8, service 11. What do all those numbers mean?

So, if I remember correctly, there were individualized services on some of the older cars(211's 203's...). I believe it would say Service A, Including 2,3,4,6,18, etc...). Each one of the individual lines had a different code(ie:oil/filter is service 3, wipers are service 16, etc...)

It's been a while since I was a MB tech, maybe someone else can confirm my ramblings? I could be totally wrong as I've slept since then...

There used to be, but now I think they just stick to service A or service B. But the maintenance booklet spells out what should be done at what mileage like spark plugs, transmission fluid changes, coolant changes etc.
