2015 E400 and 2015 GLK350
I occasionally hear the waste gate rattle, but since I know what it is, and since the "fix" really doesn't fix all, I just deal with it. The car has enough other noises that this one just joins in the six-part harmony.
Maybe others don't have all the jiggling/rattling noises I have, but I do not have adjustable dampers or air suspension. The steel springs are harsh. I also have two hearing aids which are optimized for high-pitched sounds. I hear them, the tech's don't. Such is life. The car is so much fun to drive that I will live with it. As the OP said, these cars are sleepers. Nobody expects them to go like they do. They may not be "fast" like their AMG brethren, but they are "quick" - quicker than anyone expects. And. . . they can hide in traffic. Heck, officer, it is just another 6 cylinder in a big luxury car. How fast could I have been going?
