E350 mysteriously shut down and reset itself
Hi everyone,
I'm asking this for a friend. This morning he was driving his 2012 E350 in normal town conditions. When he pulled up to a red right, the engine shut off, and everything on the dashboard went blank. When he went to restart the car, it fired up just fine, but all the presets are gone. The car is acting like the battery had been removed. He called the dealer, and they told him to make sure his battery leads are not loose (they are OK) and they did not have much else to offer.
Has anyone encountered something like this? Any ideas on what could have caused it?
