2010 E250 CGI W212 M271 Coolant flush procedure
Hi all,
I intend to replace the coolant in my 2010 E250 CGI 1.8 Turbo M271 engine.
VIN: WDD2120472A296740
Could somebody please tell me whether there is a bleeder valve on the top of the engine at all?
Is there a drain plug on the engine block?
If the radiator drain plug is the only way to drain the coolant, I am not happy with that design.
Thanks
Milo

Yes to two of your questions. There is a crankcase drain and a third drain point (water hose inlet to pump).
WIS says:
- remove expansion tank cap
- drain from bottom of radiator plug
- drain from inlet side of water pump
- drain from crankcase drain plug
Cooling system filling capacity approx 7.5 liters.

I cannot find the crankcase drain plug on my car. I have a feeling that there is none. Should be on the right hand side of the engine under the exhaust manifold. Or I just don't know where it is? My engine is M271.8.
Thanks
